Summer Catch Up

We spent our 2nd wedding anniversary and my birthday at St. Simon's Island. There's just something about this place that means so much to both of us. These two kids joined us for a little jazz on the square next to the ocean. We really enjoyed Adam and Elaine's company and hope to get back to the Golden Isles soon.
Our friends David and Elizabeth were in town for a couple months this summer with their cutie son Thomas. We took an educational trip to Fernbank to check out the dinosaurs.
He and his mom had the most fun in the gift shop though!
This was right before we put the slobbered on mask back on the shelf. Oops!
Laney has found her latest passion out amongst the bamboo. This dog could lay and bask in the sun for hours on end if we let her.
To celebrate the 4th we stayed local and had some good friends over for a cookout, before joining the neighbors for our neighborhood firework show. I have never been so impressed with Chamblee! What a HUGE and LONG firework show for a quaint little town.
2009 was a monumental year for my dear George. He turned 30 on August 1st! Here he is with his stash. Laney always finds a way to butt into the photos. After gift time we headed out for a delicious steak dinner!
The following day was George's party! Complete with pinata and one particular little girl who couldn't wait to break it open!
She called in the big guns to do the job right.
She now has a new best friend named George.
Miniature class reunion with the girls! Yay for Blake, Sarah, Heather, Me and Marge! Still getting together after 10 years!
Marge and I and the husbands braved our 10 year highschool reunion! Talk about a strange experience. The anxiety of high school came flooding back, but overall it was good to see old friends again.
Hollie, Kelly, Me and Marge
Marge, Kasey, and Me.
On a side note: Hollie and Kasey and I go back to elementary school! CRAZY! Some of the nice things about growing up in one town. Overall its been a great summer. We've enjoyed our down time and busy times. Hope you all had a great summer too!
