Somehow I've made it to the third trimester. I can hardly believe it. Nor do I know what happened to the first and second trimesters. Since this pregnancy seems to be flying by I thought I'd give a few thoughts on each trimester while I remember.
First Trimester:
- All day "morning" sickness until 16 weeks
- Craved ice in all drinks, anything cold, white, plain or otherwise non flavor-full foods
- Exhausted after work and grateful for George's culinary skills and willingness to help out
- Spent most of the first 12 weeks excitedly scared to be pregnant – I had many worries but was thrilled to actually have life growing inside me
Second Trimester:
- Still had that morning sickness for a little while, but came out the other side thinking I could conquer anything
- Still craved ice, but added skittles, chocolate ice cream, yogurt with grape nuts, and cereal – except sadly the milk didn't agree
- Aversions to garlic, tomato based sauces, heavy dishes, and spicy things
- Gained some energy back and became eager to check off items on the to-do list
- Started to feel flutters and kicks
- Comments like "my goodness, you're pregnant!" still surprised me – I spent a lot of time wondering how people knew I was pregnant
- Began growing and showing! (See previous comment :) )
Third Trimester (Thus Far….):
- Tiredness is creeping back in
- Amazed that my belly is going to grow for 10 more weeks!
- Starting to experience more of the common "ailments" of pregnancy --- ugh heartburn.
- Craving red meat, marshmellows, chocolate ice cream – well any kind of ice cream, and proteins
- Feel hungry more often even though I feel like there's no room left in my belly
- Baby is moving around lots and I'm able to identify things like hiccups, punches and kicks
- Having more moments of anxiety, but thankfully dear husband helps to calm me down
- Thinking less about the registry and more about how this baby is going to come out!
Overall, I'm amazed that we are so close to meeting this little bundle. To think that we're in the LAST trimester is nuts to me. While there's still plenty to do on the list, we're making progress and becoming more and more a tune with the idea of being parents.

Awww.. you look great!!! I love all the belly updates. I didn't do that w/ S and am bummed - maybe next time! Oh, and the heartburn, if it is really bad(mine was) the dr. can prescribe meds and they are AWESOME!!!!! Enjoy your last trimester:)
Kate, you look fantastic! Pregnancy definitely becomes you. If you think time is flying now, wait until your little one is here! A good baby book to keep up with all the details is definitely a good investment :)
