This October I was on the hunt for a simple pumpkin patch to take James to. I wanted to start the tradition of a pumpkin picture with the kiddos, and we didn’t have the time this year to make it to the North Georgia Farms. Luckily we ran into a cute little pumpkin patch at The Pumpkin Church near my parents house. It was absolutely perfect! And what’s better is that we went while we were celebrating my dad’s birthday.
My cutie scarecrows.
James was thrilled to finally be amongst the pumpkins.
Ok, thats a lie. It was really the straw that thrilled him.
“This pumpkin is kinda in my way mom. I’m trying to eat straw here.”
“These leaves look tasty too.” (Still no interest in the pumpkin.)
Oh, is that a smile? Not quite.
Grandpa then tried to tempt James with a baby pumpkin.
Sweet memory.
And as per any James situation, he tried to eat the baby pumpkin too.
I was still hoping to get the perfect fall photo.
My family!
Mimi brings a bit a fall to the photo, and yet I’m the only one ready for this shot. Of well.
I love this picture of my two boys.
“This is the perfect pumpkin for me mom. Let’s go!”
“Fine, I’ll give you ONE smile before we leave.”
After our pumpkin picking, we headed home for some birthday cake. And in honor of my dad’s birthday James wore this Gators cap. He’s still super cute even if the team orange is a little off :)
Grandpa gives this a big thumbs up though.
We do too…it was a perfect day with family!
