James you turned 8 months a couple weeks ago. Mama is sorry this post is later than it should be. We have been extra busy this month trying to keep up with you!
You love to explore your surroundings and are amazed by the things you find.
You did decide, however, that your belly was getting a little rotund…
So over the last month you learned to crawl and haven’t looked back. You have mastered “The Worm” crawling technique and are getting faster every day.
You take crawling very seriously
And love to practice before school in the mornings.
Baths are by far your most favorite time of the day. I can’t get you in the tub fast enough. You hear me start the water and start crawling toward the bathroom. And of all the toys we give you,
the rinsing cup is your favorite!
You are a very good eater. There hasn’t been anything you haven’t liked. You are eating 3 meals a day in addition to your bottles. You really like bananas and avocados. In your 8th month you tried your first Puffs. Its safe to say you LOVE them.
You’re doing really well feeding yourself and have great coordination…with the occasional puffy stuck to your cheek. You still have no teeth, but this doesn’t seem to stop you from enjoying life and food. You also like to chew with your mouth open usually making some kind of fun noise. We’ll have to work on your manners son, but in the mean time its pretty cute.
Your favorite toy is this little police car I got at a garage sale for $2. Its the little things right?
It makes for great crawling motivation. 
You really love your friends at school and other babies….especially your new cousin Victor!
You have such a great curiosity in everyone and everything around you.
Another favorite toy of yours is this homemade rattle. We put some lentils in a tupperware, called it good, and you were pleased.
We think you’re about 20 pounds now and growing more and more. You wear size 3 diapers and 9 – 12 month clothes.
You are constantly on the move now making your monthly photos more and more difficult. Your dad even had to hold you down.
But we managed to get a few smiles :) You’re getting so big baby boy!
We love you sweet baby James. You make life so much more exciting and meaningful. We are so thankful for you.
