14 Months Old

James you are now 14 months old and can we just tell you…you are awesome! We have had so much fun with you this past month.

Your walking is really taking off and you are always on the move. It is so nice to put you down and have you be able to walk and get to things you want to play with. You love a good push toy (or our furniture) and are discovering new things about your old toys.

You still love music and we’ve been able to interpret you singing “itsy bitsy spider” --- with hand motions and all! Also, if there’s a button that pushes and makes music, you’re going to push it!

You love being outside and exploring everything. You’re more and more confident with your walking which helps us to let you have more freedom. You did try to run down the driveway and ended up with scraped knees, but there’s a first for everything!

You are still a great eater and love all kinds of fruits, veggies and anything with exciting spices. You weigh a little less than 26 pounds. 

You are using more and more words. You sort of say: thank you, cracker, up, bye, this, that, more, Laney, Glory, and you also make lots of noises that mimic us or the dogs barking. You’re also starting to understand simple commands like “Where is your nose?” and you point to your nose and say “nose” in the CUTEST southern accent. Makes your mama so proud. We can also ask you do put things down or pick things up or come with us or ask you where the dogs are and you are able to respond to us. So fun!

You love to hand us things and hear us say Thank you. This month it really feels like we are playing together instead of just taking care of you. You love to have us chase you and start to run faster when you see us coming.

James George, we love you so much, thank you for being such a joy!! We can’t wait to see what next month has in store.
