James at 15 months old you are so much fun! You are keeping your dad and I on our toes and we’re loving every minute.
You love to be outside --- in the garden, pushing your toys, trying to push your stroller, swinging, climbing, sliding down the slide, and running! This month we also discovered the playground at our local airport. It is a fantastic place to play! You love watching the planes come in and point to the sky and say “ooh ooh” when you hear one.
This month you’ve also been loving on your dad more and more. You two have so much fun playing together. Your dad gets the privilege of giving your baths at night and its so sweet to listen to you two splashing and laughing.
Your language continues to develop. It amazes me the things you understand. We regularly ask you to do certain things and you know what we’re saying! Even some things in Greek too. This increased communication between us makes for fewer tantrums, more pleasant car rides and more and more laughs!
You love trying new things on your own and exploring your abilities. You’re also really beginning to enjoy your independent play time now. At school you’re becoming a leader amongst your peers as one of the oldest in the class. Your best friends are Liam and Kosta. These two light up when you arrive in the morning and you spend all day running each other ragged! It’s so fun to watch you interact with your friends.
You’re still a great eater. In fact I feel like I’m running out of things to feed you! For the most part you eat what we eat, or a softer version of it. Most people are impressed with how much you can eat. But you’re still my busy body and boy do you burn some calories! You have learned to say “All Done” which is also helpful.
This month you also got FIVE more teeth, overnight. That was fun. Phew. You were cranky and nothing would please you for about a week. And then you woke up one morning with five new teeth. You also get a bad diaper rash when you’re teething too. It’s no fun, but now you can eat a few more things with your new teeth.
James you are such a curious little boy, always watching and exploring your surroundings. You bark at every dog that walks past our house or that we encounter on our walks. You point out every plane or helicopter over head. You know how to push every button on every toy you have. You’re learning how to put puzzles together and love to read your books. Your favorite books are “Goodnight Moon” and “First Words” a picture book of simple words. We try to read this book in both English and Greek, which is helping both of us learn!
We love you sweet James and look forward to the next month with you. What a special boy you’ve become!
