Dear sweet Anna….half a year old! Unbelievable! You are sleeping through the night with just occasional wake ups in the 5 to 6 am range. You are taking 5 5oz bottles, so the wakes up are letting us know you need more food! Although, every time we’ve tried to give you more you spit up. We even tried soy formula, but this didn’t really help with the spitting. We’ve just resolved to wait until you grow out of it!
I love wearing you in the baby carrier. It’s a stage I never want to end. So snuggly and cute and heart warming!
You have started to truly belly laugh at your brother this month. It’s precious!
We also spent some time this month with friends. Ms. Blakely’s, Ms. Margaret’s and Ms. Amanda’s boys! All boys Anna! SEVEN boys and you, sweet girl! Here is Embry pulling up to say hi!
And Truman liked to say hi by poking you in the face. His first point landed in your eye. haha, too cute!
You have really enjoyed sleeping in your crib this month. And you’re kind of a crazy sleeper. You love the bumpers and often hang onto them in the night.
You are liking baths more and more and have learned that the wash cloths yield a little extra water to your belly!
We also hosed down James’ old highchair for you this month. James still likes to talk about how dirty it was. You love to sit with us at the table and we love now being a table of 4!
You chew on anything you can get your hands on.
Your giggles are infectious!
to Mpampa
and James!
This is a classic Anna face. Its either a smile, this, or
this one! James used to do this too. So cute.
You’ve been working on sitting up a lot this month.
and you’ve been doing your fair share of modeling and relaxing too!
We also tried table foods for the first time this month. You loved the spoon
but not the food. haha! We’ve tried and tried since then and you don’t seem to want to open your mouth. So we’ll just wait you out. You are very happy with your bottles for now.
I’ve also been weaning you this month. You were ready, but it took me a little longer to let go. But in the end it has been ok for both of us. I do miss it, but you were starting to figure out you got more from bottles than from me. So really I don’t blame you sweet girl. All in all, I loved every minute we spent nursing.
6 months old and too cute for words!
We love these smiles and laughs, keep ‘em coming!
We can’t wait to see what this next 6 months brings.
Mama and Mpampa love you Anna Elizabeth!!
