Going to attempt to catch up, because I miss being able to look back on what we’ve been doing!
Anna you are 18 months old! Overall, you are a great sleeper. You take one nap a day – unless you are sick or teething or being anna, you sleep from 7:30pm – 8am at night. You get completely slap happy when you’re tired, you throw your head back and laugh and start to crash into things and we know its go time. You are a great eater and eat almost everything we offer you.
Another oh so fun thing you do now is to unzip your jammies and umm investigate your often poopy diapers when you wake up in the morning. After seeking advice from the mom community we have solved the problem for now by putting your footless pjs on backwards, so they zip up the back.
You love to be outside and love exploring everything around you. You also love to do what your brother does and you two make each other laugh like no one else can. You don’t like sitting still and don’t really like toys, but love causing trouble.
Hear you are playing peek a boo!
This picture is totally you! One shoe on, one shoe off, giant smile, full of life. My little ham. Taking care of you is often exhausting, but you are so so funny and love to make us laugh.
Then there’s this side of you. The LOUD mouth voicing her opinion about not wanting to sit still and watch brother play baseball. I basically chase you around making sure you don’t injure yourself, hah. You still love to climb!
You love shoes and trying on clothes, no matter who they belong to! James however, was not happy that you borrowed his clothes.
You love your baby dolls and animals. You feed your babies, give kisses and hugs, push them in the stroller and carry them many places. You love making animal sounds and pointing out all kinds of animals. You also love books and want us to read to you all the time. Your favorites at Barnyard Dance, Princess Baby, and Ten Little Babies.
Your favorite songs are Wheels on the Bus, Ring Around the Rosie, and Little Bitty Pretty One. No, I’m not kidding about that last one. You will start singing the “woah, woah, woah woah woah” part and we all know we need to join in and sing with you!
The biggest thing you’ve been working on this month is talking! My goodness the talking. It started off at the beginning of the month with single words and now you’re using short sentences. This is a long list, but I know one day I’ll want to know the things you were saying! Oh no, uh oh, no, yeah, mama, baba, Laney, Quiet, stay, go go go, alright, all done, no more, dirty diaper, Mimi, gala (milk), nero (water), up, boo, hi, hey, wow, woah, yay, yippee, bye bye, night night, baby, anna, amen, nose, appy (apple), thank you, bless you, mana (banana), hat, hug, book, moo, baa, woof, where’s toes, where is baba – he’s at work, spoon, I’m a nut, READ THE BOOK (which is only ever yelled at me), not nice, and I’m sure many more I didn’t write down, plus you’re able to repeat most words that we ask you to. You have a hard time using a soft voice and therefore most things come out at full volume.
You give the best hugs, both arms wrapped around my neck and always followed with a fish face kiss.
You keep us on our toes and make us long for sleep, but we love every part of you! It’s so fun to watch your personality develop. We find ourselves saying, “she’s crazy” or “she’s such a ham” constantly. We love you Anna Elizabeth!
James started baseball this month and is so excited to play with his best buddy Grant!
His school put on a circus performance and James was a fireman. It was his job to put out the “fire” on the hoop the animals jumped through. It was an adorable show and I love that he’s getting opportunities to be on stage!
George with an armful of babies!
And me with a belly full of baby and our first two babies!
Number 3 is on the way and due to arrive early August!! I was only 18 weeks here and there’s a lot more belly these days, but umm, poor baby number 3 hasn’t had as many photo shoots sadly. We can’t wait to add to the crazy!
