James you turned 2 months old this weekend and you are healthy and thriving! I didn't post until today so we could have your stats from the Pediatrician.
You are now 11 pounds 9 ounces (50%), 23 1/2 inches (75%), and head circumference of 40 1/2 cm (50-75%).
You've changed so much in just a months time.
At one time you had beautiful red hair,
But now you have a red haired "cul-de-sac"
We tease that you look like an old man, but really you're hair is just coming in very blonde!
You've really filled out and are so much fun to pinch and squeeze. Our favorite time with you is on Saturday mornings. We play with you in your bouncy seat on the dining room table while we eat our cereal and have our coffee. We get the best smiles and expressions during this time and are so grateful for family time.
I've added a few nick names to the list: bugger mugger, buggity, boogey, bugs, and James George. Sometimes I accidently call you George, so it works out nicely that its your middle name :)
I was also able to capture your dimple on camera too!
One sure way to make you smile is to push your chin button
The result is such a sweet sweet smile,
that gets sweeter by the second.
You also gave your dad and I your first unassisted smiles! Words cannot describe how heart warming it is to see your child smile back at you for the first time.
You've really started to enjoy bath time as well. Your dad and I are so happy that baths are no longer a crying fit! You love to dip your toes in the water and splash. This also helps to clean out the toe and finger lint you acquire. I had no idea babies could collect so much lint!
During your second month of life you also had your first daddy son alone time. (Mama got a much needed hair cut!) Your dad is the best swaddler, story teller, and baby putter to sleeper. He loves discovering new tricks and tips to help meet your needs. And mama is very thankful for the bond you two are developing.
You've definitely filled out in your second month and I just can't get enough of those cheeks!
And just like your mother in all her baby pictures, no picture is complete without the tongue.
I was so excited to do another photo shoot with you and had snapped about 50 photos before I realized that I forgot to put the sign in the photo. I'm very impressed that you remained happy throughout mama's mistake!!
HOORAY! I'm 2 Months Old!
Take a look back at one month to see how much I've grown!
