Beach Blanket Baby

Over a month ago, we headed down to St. Simons Island for James’ first trip to the beach!

Our first stop while there was a meeting with my old boss, “Uncle Gary” in good old Brunswick.

Next up on the tour of Brunswick was our old home on Union Street.

I loved watching my husband recall the memories of our first home.

And loved showing James a place near and dear to his parents’ hearts.

By the time we finally got geared up to go to the beach…someone was sleepy!

But once we arrived he perked up a little. It was mighty hot and we didn’t last very long the first day.

I absolutely LOVE this picture of my hot, sweaty, rosy cheeked babe.

We were also able to spend time with our good friends the Browns while there. They had a baby boy just three months before James and this was their first meeting.

We’ll have to work on James’ introductory skills though.

But he was thrilled to make a new friend.

And boys will be boys….so they got right to wrestling!

Then we took a dip in the pool, before heading to our favorite Bubba Garcia’s for supper.

And mama on the pier….gotta love that face.

James also practiced jumping out of the pool while looking exceptionally cute with chubby knees.

And of course I had to get the classic family photo. James and Laney’s tail were warming up my shot.

We’ll have to work on these…I’m sure it’ll only get harder over the years.

Another day out on the beach!

Loved this beach baby photo

First time for feet in the ocean and the sand.

I quickly realized naked beach time was better.

We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!

I can't get over how cute he is! And I love how he looks at the camera with those big beautiful eyes. Think he could teach Darcy a thing or two?!

Great pictures! Looks like such a fun trip. I think my favorite is the knee rolls:)

Love all of the pictures Kate (and George!)! Y'all are getting so good with the camera, I need help!
James is too precious for words. His knee rolls are too much.
