I think I’ve been denial about how fast James is growing up. But tonight while visiting a precious newborn, I realized my baby is quickly making his way towards being a big boy.
I want to record more of what James is up to so I will always remember these sweet moments.
1. You are so good at holding your own bottle, unless you’re sleepy. Then you’d much rather us hold if for you.
2. You are beginning to understand sign language and are very close to signing back at us.
3. You have found your voice. Wow, have you found your voice. Days are now filled with grunts, talking and this high pitched squeal/scream that drives your dad nuts.
4. You LOVE to jump. Any time both feet hit the ground you start jumping.
5. Your love of jumping also transfers to others. Any time someone jumps up and down for you to see, you Laugh and Laugh and Laugh.
6. You have developed some tickle spots…your upper thighs, your sides, and your back. Tickling you produces the sweetest giggles I wish I could bottle up and save.
7. You are becoming more and more affectionate. You cuddle into my neck and give the best hugs.
8. You are also discovering more about your surroundings. Touching our faces when we’re holding you and grasping at your own hair.
9. You are also learning how to use your hands. At times you will stare at your hands and open and close them over and over again…completely mesmerized.
10. You are such a sweet and happy boy James. I love every moment I spend with you.
I’m glad its a holiday weekend, because I don’t think I could give you up on Monday if I had to.
