This past Saturday was James’ first trip to Gymboree. We thought this would be a great birthday present for James to attend class. It was perfect for him! Despite our initial judgments after hearing the teacher sing the first song, the kids had so much fun and so did we!
There were so many different stations for the kids to play on and climb on. James was in heaven! And miraculously he had gone from taking a few steps here and there to walking most of the time the day before class…so he was walking from one thing to the next and keeping up with the other walkers with no problem. His teacher said he did a great job for his first class, and we agree!
He had no problems walking up this ramp and sliding right down the other side.
And the greatest part of the whole day? James slept for 3 and a half hours after class. Completely unheard of for him! This walking thing might not be so bad.
Well, except for the fact that we spent most of the weekend making sure he didn’t crash into the furniture. We were mostly successful…poor guy bumped his head above his eyebrow. Putting ice on a 1 year is pretty much impossible.
But, he LOVES his new found mobility and we’re so proud of our sweet baby boy!
